City Barbeque at 365 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, Illinois.

Stopped by on opening afternoon to check out what all the hype was about. I purchased the city sampler ($18.95) with Mac and cheese and corn pudding. I opted to upgrade my sides to pints for an extra $5 and also ordered a drink. The total for the meal was just over 20$ due to a promotion that they were running involving their app and a 5$ reward.

The bbq was promptly cut and placed on a plate with the massive side orders (I recommend not ordering the larger size as it's way too much for one!) and the sever called my name.

After selecting from a variety of sauces (including a mango habenro, a mustard sauce, and a Carolina vinegar sauce) I got started on my meat!

The brisket was moist and amazing the sausage had a crisp bite to it, and the turkey was moist and had a nice smokey flavor. But by far my favorite was the pork. Adding the vinegar BBQ sauce to the pork took it the next level of delicious.

Both of the sides were OK, with the Mac and cheese being of the twirl noodle type rather than traditional Macaroni. The corn pudding was moist and sweet.

Service was amazing and friendly and I never even had to ask for anything!
