SDM Transport at 1537 Gordon Terrace, Deerfield, Illinois.

DO NOT use SDM transport. A broker recommended by a friend arranged for SDM transport to move my car from Wisconsin to Florida. The broker gave us a 2 day window for pickup and told us we would be notified of the day and a window of time the day before. We were never notified. We had arranged to have the car picked up from friends as we would be driving to FL. Our friends called the broker and were assured that the hauler was coming. After they waited and waited, he finally picked up the car at 8:30 pm on day 2. They emailed the paperwork to us. It did not provide the name of the company or contact information but provided the driver’s name, Agnius Avlasenka.
We expected the car on Thursday. Never came. On Friday morning I called the billing number to which I had given my credit card information. They connected me with the dispatcher who said the car was coming that day and gave me the driver’s number. He did not answer his phone or respond to voice mails. After 6 pm the driver called and said he would deliver it Saturday morning at 6:00 am. At 4:30 pm he said the car would be there at 6:30 pm. It finally arrived at 8:45 pm. I photographed the cab to get company name SDM Transport and DOT number. When the car was loaded the gas tank was ¼ full per instructions. When it came off the truck, it was empty. We watched the driver, drive off another car blocking ours then reload it. It had 4 flat tires.
Use SDM Transport only if you are willing to wait and reschedule appointments for a pickup/delivery window of 2 – 3 days, don’t mind your gas disappearing , taking delivery on a car with bent rims, or dealing with a surly and non-communicative driver.
